C.C. Communique

n Kerala, the Party will continue to contest elections as part of the LDF. In Tamilnadu, the CPI(M) will contest the elections as part of the DMK led alliance. In Assam, the CPI(M) will contest the elections in cooperation with all secular opposition parties including the Congress to defeat the incumbent BJP government in the state, which is sharpening communal polarization, destabilizing social harmony and heaping miseries on the people. In West Bengal, the CPI(M) and the Left Front will have an electoral understanding with all secular parties, including the Congress, which seek to defeat the BJP and the TMC.

P.B. Communique

The Polit Bureau discussed the draft report to be presented to the Party Plenum on Organization.  This draft will now be subjected for discussion in the Party Central Committee meeting scheduled to meet in Delhi from November 13 to 16.  The Plenum will be held in Kolkata from December 27 to 31, 2015.

Punish 'Moral Policing'

The CPI(M) condemns the raid conducted by Delhi Police at the Kerala House on the pretext of investigating whether beef was being served in the canteen.  Everybody is aware that buffalo meat is allowed legally to be sold in Delhi and any preparation of such meat is not an illegality.

Mainpuri Attack: Take Firm Action

The violence in Mainpuri in Uttar Pradesh once again highlights how the issue of cow slaughter is being utilized to target the minority community.  A mob attacked four men who were accused of killing a cow, two of whom are injured and in a critical condition.  Some shops belonging to Muslims were set on fire.  The Polit Bureau condemns these attacks.

Ban on Meat Opposed

The Polit Bureau denounces the growing instances of violation of the constitutional fundamental right of personal life, freedom and liberty of Indian citizens, by enforcing strictures on lifestyle and dietary habits of the people.

Release Those Falsely Accused

I write to draw your attention to the Meerut case in which a personal relationship between two consenting adults was converted into a criminal matter of rape and forcible conversion by Hindutva organisations. The young woman has now given her statement before the magistrate in which she has clarified the facts of her consensual relationship and that she was pressurized by her family members who in turn were being used by the Hindutva forces even reportedly bribed by them,..........In these circumstances it is essential to take immediate steps to release the innocent men and women from jail.
