Press Statement

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement:

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) expresses  its grief at the passing away of Shri Sunil Dutt, Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs. Shri Sunil Dutt made an immense contribution to cinema as an actor. He had a life long commitment to secularism and was active in all public causes which promoted communal harmony and national unity.  In his death the country has lost a talented artist and prominent social worker.

The Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) conveys its heartfelt condolences to his two daughters, son and other members of his family.
