The leaders of the Left parties met Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, Chairperson of the United Progressive Alliance, today.

They requested Mrs. Gandhi to intervene to see that the CMP provision regarding the navaratna companies is adhered to by the government.

The Left leaders are hopeful that the matter will be amicably resolved.

The Left leaders who attended the meeting were Harkishan Singh Surjeet, Prakash Karat, A.B. Bardhan, Sitaram Yechury, D. Raja and Abani Roy.
