Press Statement 

Prakash Karat, General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement:

 For the assembly elections in Bihar, the CPI(M) has arrived at a seat adjustment with the UPA partners. The CPI(M) will conduct an independent campaign calling upon the people to defeat the JD(U)-BJP alliance and for supporting the CPI(M) candidates in the fray. At the same time, the Party will also work for the success of the candidates of the UPA parties.
