Press Statement

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement:

The CPI(M) condemns the killing of four boys including a nine-year old reportedly in firing by law enforcement agencies in Dudhipora village in Handwara, Jammu & Kashmir. This shooting and tragic incident and others like it will severely hamper any effort to win the confidence of the people of the valley and will vitiate the atmosphere. It is necessary therefore for the government to order a time bound judicial enquiry into the incident and take quick and firm action against those responsible.

The CPI(M) extends its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families
