Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) met in New Delhi on May
13, 2006. It took stock of the
assembly election results in West Bengal, Kerala, Assam, Tamilnadu and
Pondicherry. The
Polit Bureau approved the proposal of the West Bengal state secretariat of the
Party to have Buddhadeb Bhattacharya to head the council of ministers in West
Bengal. The
Polit Bureau discussed about the leader of the
council of ministers in Kerala and formulated a proposal.
The Kerala state committee of the Party will meet on May 15 to discuss
the issue and take a final decision. The
Polit Bureau decided to meet on May 27 and 28 at Kolkata to
discuss the overall political situation and to prepare a report for the
Central Committee.
The Central Committee will meet on June 8, 9 and 10 at Hyderabad. |
