The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) strongly condemns the threats being issued by RSS leaders against the Kerala Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan. A RSS leader in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh has announced a Rs. 1 crore bounty for the democratically elected Chief Minister’s head.
The Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) strongly condemns the action of the Madhya Pradesh police and administration in preventing the Chief Minister of Kerala, Comrade Pinarayi Vijayan, from attending a felicitation function in Bhopal.
An exhibition exposing the actual face of the RSS was inaugurated here in New Delhi today by CPI(M) General Secretary, Sitaram Yechury. Titled “Mounting Terror: The Real Face of the RSS” the exhibition seeks to give a glimpse into the history of the violent activities of the Sangh in Kerala, which identified in the Communists, especially the CPI(M), a bulwark foiling its communal and regressive agenda.
The results of the local body elections, is a verdict against corruption and communal tendencies. The people of Kerala realized that the Left Democratic Front should be more powerful in order to protect secularism in the country.
It is rather unfortunate that we are living in an age when the lights kindled by the renaissance movements are sought to be extinguished by the revivalist forces of various hues all over the country. What is more shocking is that the movements which once heralded the dawn of a new era of scientific temper, logical thoughts and rational outlook themselves deteriorate in standards and stoop to the level of becoming instruments in the hands of fundamentalist forces bent on balkanizing society .
CPI(M) Polit Bureau Member Comrade Pinarayi Vijayan said that the Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) is not just a caste organization but based on the dharma propagated by Sree Narayana Guru.
