GREETINGS FROM THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF BRAZIL (PCdoB)

Dear Comrades,

On behalf of the Communist Party of Brazil – PCdoB, we are sending our warmest and fraternal greetings to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and all its militants, on the occasion of the XIX Congress of the CPI(M).  We hope that the XIX Congress be a successful one and it can fulfill the main objectives aimed, resulting in a strengthening of the CPI(M).

The XIX Congress of the CPI(M) is being held few days after the world remember that five years ago it was the very beginning of the US imperialism war against Iraq, which has initiated a brutal offensive aiming the announced “reconfiguration of the Middle East”.  After these five years, not only US imperialism did not reach its objectives, but also there are several signals of an increase of the resistance of peoples and nations around the world.  In our region, the Latin America, we have registered important victories of peoples and a hard struggle to affirm the democratic and revolutionary trends.  Nowadays in the most nations around the world, the peace flag gains relevance as one of the major aspirations of their peoples.

India and Brazil are two of the big nations in development, which peoples have very near interests and expectations.  Our peoples are struggling for the reconfiguration of the present international order and by the establishment of new conditions to the economic and social progress of our countries.  Also the CPI(M) and the PCdoB are fraternal political parties that share the idea of the struggle by the socialism is the biggest cause of our peoples.

On occasion of the convene of the XIX Congress of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), we take this opportunity to reaffirm our best wishes for an ample political, organizational and ideological success to your Party in front of the challenges of the next period.
