The LDF State Committee meeting held on August 21 has decided to continue the boycott of scam-tainted Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy. Left Democratic Front State committee Convener Vaikom Vishwan announced after the meeting that more intensified struggles will follow and there will be protests in all the public programs attended by the Chief Minister. He said that more details will be finalized at the LDF meeting to be held on September 12. Public meetings will be held in all district headquarters.

He reiterated that the Chief Minister and his office must be included in the purview of judicial investigation into the solar panel scam. LDF cannot accept the Chief Minister being outside the ambit of inquiry.

The meeting also termed the picketing of the state secretariat as unprecedented and unparalleled. The Chief Minister had to bow to the pressure mounted by mass mobilization for this siege and was forced to announce a judicial inquiry.

In the meanwhile, the LDF subcommittee has prepared draft suggestions in response to the query of the government which sought proposals with regard to the mode of the inquiry. These suggestions will be discussed in the meeting of LDF leaders, CPI leader C Divakaran said.
