Bandh imposed on July 21, 2015 on the people of Jamshedpur by the Viswa Hindu Parishad and the vandalism indulged in by its activists has further worsened the situation

CPI(M) Tripura state committee appeals to the masses to be cautious about the divisive politics of RSS and BJP on one hand and IPFT and INPT on the other. Briefing the press on the deliberations of the one day meeting of the state committee, state secretary Bijan Dhar said that the party will intensify it's political, organisational and ideological work to effectively counter these menaces.

The CPI(M), Delhi State Committee strongly opposes the decision of the Kejriwal government to increase VAT on petrol and diesel. This will fuel inflation and increase prices of essential goods, especially vegetables, grain, fruit, edible oil etc. The cost will be paid by none other than the aam aadmi.

About 150 state leaders of Four Left Parties of Punjab – CPI, CPI(M), CPM Punjab and CPI(ML) Liberation held a protest dharna at Chief minister Parkash Singh Badal’s residence at Chandigarh led by State Secretaries Comrades Hardev Arshi ( CPI), Charan Singh Virdi ( CPI(M), Mangat Ram Pasla ( CPM Punjab ) & Gurmit Singh Bakhtupur ( CPI(ML) Liberation ). The dharna was organized for lodging protest against the unresponsive attitude of the Badal government towards 15 point demand charter containing just and genuine burning problems of the people – workers, peasants, youth and women etc
A delegation led by Com Brinda Karat, Politburo member of CPI (M) met the Police Commissioner Mr BS Bassi todayand submitted a memorandum in connection with the communally tense situation in Sriram Colony (under PS KhajuriKhas). The process of construction of IIT in Himachal Pradesh is going on in Kamaand area of district Mandi since September 2013. Presently around 650 workers are involved in this process since the beginning of process of construction no labour laws are being followed in this premier institute. Almost 2 years have gone and statutory and mandatory provisions have not been implemented. The role of state govt, District Administration and labour department has been under questions as these all three agencies remained mute spectators to execute the law of the land. Rather these all agencies have been in connivance with the construction company namely supreme construction company and petty contractors.
The J&K State Committee of CPI (M) has described the present Centre’s flood rehabilitation and reconstruction package grossly inadequate and squarely against the expectations of the affected people of Jammu and Kashmir.
