CPI(M) Bihar State Committee Finalises Names of Candidates for 4 Constituencies Party Will Fight in Upcoming Bihar Elections.

On the call of Left Parties, people assembled on Feb 28 in Raj Ghat of Delhi appealing for peace and harmony in the city. The meeting was addressed by CPI(M) general secretary comrade Sitaram Yechury and Polit Bureau Member comrade Brinda Karat.

The CPI(M), which had recently won the Dahanu (ST) assembly seat in Palghar district in October 2019 with its young MLA Comrade Vinod Nikole, improved its position in these elections.

CPI(M) started its sit-in vigil in Sikar of Rajasthan against attack on students during students union polls and raid on the Party offices. The demand is to take action on policemen involved and ensure justice. Comrade Amra Ram, Pema Ram led the vigil.

A protest rally was organised in Tripura against mass violence that took place in first phase of polls. Tripura West constituency had gone to polls on 11th April where Comrade Sankar Datta is our candidate. The BJP goons didn't allow people to cast votes and our polling agents were pushed out of booths while the administration and forces paid no heed.

Left mass organisations have written a letter to the WB Governor demanding his intervention in the matter.
