2G Case: Investigate PMO

It is surprising that the CBI has not investigated this aspect of the 2G spectrum case. The Prime Minister’s related efforts at distancing himself from the affair have also been exposed. The Prime Minister cannot absolve himself of his responsibility in the matter. The Polit Bureau demands that the role of the PMO is specifically enquired into by the CBI. The Joint Parliamentary Committee should summon both the Prime Minister and A. Raja to testify.

2G Scam: PM Should Explain

The Supreme Court has correctly asked why the Prime Minister delayed responding to the request for permission to prosecute the Telecom Minister for 11 months? It should be further asked why the Prime Minister refused to order a probe on the telecom scam for a longer period despite repeated requests?

Sitaram Yechury to PM

I am bringing out only a few instances of gross misconduct and illegal acts by the Minister. It is also clear that using the 3G license prices as benchmark, the loss to the exchequer has been around Rs. 190,000 crore. In such a situation, the Cabinet as a whole has to take responsibility of this sordid episode and take immediate action, both to repair this damage to the exchequer as well as redeeming its credibility. I would urge you to take the following steps immediately:

Minister Raja Should Resign

The outcome of the 3G spectrum auction convincingly proves that Union Communication Minister, Shri A. Raja, was clearly involved in corrupt practices by selling 2G spectrum to some industrialists by manipulating TRAI recommendations. Whereas 3G spectrum could fetch Rs. 70,000 crores, 2G spectrum was sold at a paltry sum of Rs. 2000 crores only. Shri Raja had done so by blatantly violating the law causing a huge loss to the public exchequer.
