Full text of letter addressed to Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi by CPI(M) General Secretary and MP, Sitaram Yechury on December 12, 2016 regarding the finalization of the `Major Defense Partner’ designation to India by the USA.
The CPI(M) state committees in West Bengal, Kerala, Tamilnadu and Assam are scheduled to meet to prepare a detailed review of the CPI(M)’s performance in the elections and the post election political situation arising in these states. On the basis of these review reports prepared by the state committees, the Central Committee will conduct its review at its forthcoming meeting from June 18-20.
The Modi government’s anti-democratic stance is part of the larger agenda of the sangh parivar to force fit India into its vision of a Hindu rashtra dominated by male caste Hindus.
The state of India today is that of political schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is a condition in which the mind relates to a single object as if it was two unrelated objects. This is exactly our condition. We have a Prime Minister who speaks at a feverish pitch of ‘digital India’,’ skills’ India, ‘Wi Fi India’ and of expanding the domain of the internet.
CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury stated that the actual control of Modi government lies with RSS. Addressing a public meeting commemorating birth centenary of Comrade Harkishan Singh Surjeet in Kolkata, on September 13, Yechury said that the BJP used to castigate the Manmohun Singh government by saying that its remote control lies with Congress President. But in case of Modi government, the RSS is its real control.

certain principles enshrined in it to ensure some protection for the farmers and dependents on land and safeguard the food security concerns of the country.
The intervention by the Minister of External Affairs, in inappropriately facilitating the travel of a person with serious criminal charges connected with the IPL controversy, is completely unacceptable.
