Press Statement

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement:

Mangat Ram Pasla Expelled

Mangat Ram Pasla, a member of the Central Committee of the Party, has indulged in serious anti-Party activities. He has announced the holding of a parallel state conference of the Party alongwith persons who have already been expelled from the Party. By doing so, Mangat Ram Pasla has put himself outside the Party.

The Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) has decided to summarily expel Mangat Ram Pasla from the membership of the Party invoking Article XIX, clause 13 of the Party Constitution. All those who associate with the disruptive activities of the splinter group led by Mangat Ram will have nothing to do with the Party.

The Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) appeals to all Party members in Punjab to counter the anti-Party activities of these elements.
