Immediately Stop this Genocide of Palestinians

The Left Parties are strongly critical of the Modi government for its refusal to join the global call for an immediate ceasefire at the India-US 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue.

India must work closely with major regional powers to see that the Afghan people are able to live in a peaceful and stable environment. Indian government should immediately work towards safe evacuation of all stranded Indian citizens in Afghanistan.

Given the widespread shock over PM' s statement, the government has now issued lengthy clarifications, one from the PMO issued through the PIB and the other through the spokesman of the MEA. These clarifications, with their own share of self contradictions, have not only failed to clear the air but have only added to the confusion

As the Defence Minister, you had signed the ten-year Defence Framework Agreement with the United States government on June 3, 2015.  The reports about this agreement have also appeared in the media.  However, the text of the agreement has so far not been made public. 

The Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) expresses its shock and horror at the massacre of 132 school children in Peshawar. Another 120 have been seriously injured. The Party denounces this unspeakable atrocity committed by the Tehrik-e-Taliban which shows their inhuman and depraved state of mind.

The Polit Bureau expresses its deep concern at the continuing arrests and detention in Sri Lanka of fishermen from Tamilnadu. At present there are 210 fishermen and their 70 boats in Sri Lankan custody. The Central Government should immediately intervene to secure the release of the fishermen. The problems faced by the fishermen of both countries and the crossing of maritime boundaries have to be discussed and settled. This requires a concerted effort by holding talks between representatives of fishermen of both countries and the two governments.
