The Communist Party of India (Marxist) joins the growing international solidarity in condemning the murder of George Flyod in the USA and demanding an end to the racist violence and ensuring social harmony and justice.
The PB urges upon the Modi government to draw proper lessons from this obnoxious behaviour of US imperialism. Embracing USA as the top most priority cannot provide any help or relief to the Indian people in strengthening the struggle against the pandemic
The Polit Bureau demands that the government firmly rebuff such anti-India measures and take necessary steps, including retaliatory trade tariffs, to protect India’s trade interests.

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement:
The first two-plus-two meeting between the foreign and defence ministers of India and the United States represents the institutionalization of the strategic alliance with the US.
The Central Committee congratulated the LDF government in Kerala for the manner in which they could contain the dreaded Nipah virus from spreading. The efforts of the state government have earned accolades from international agencies including the World Health Organisation.
The solution to the issues posed by North Korea should be resolved by the group of six comprising – USA, China, Russia, Japan, South Korea and North Korea by holding talks.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s fifth visit to the United States of America during these three years has resulted in very little gains for India or even attention to be paid by the US to India’s immediate concerns. The Joint Statement issued with President Trump only reconfirms India’s status as a subordinate ally of the USA.
This attack has shaken the Indian community residing in the US. The Indian government has to immediately take up the issue with the US government, ensure that the guilty are punished and seek an assurance that such incidents will not recur.
The Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) strongly condemns the signing of the Logistics Support Agreement between the United States and India which will allow the American armed forces to access and use Indian military bases.
