Notorious Criminal Presents Rajnath With Headgear

Secretary of the Kerala State Committee of the CPI (M) Pinarayi Vijayan said that the rapport between the RSS and the state Congress leadership has been exposed with the speed at which the Congress-led UDF government decided to handover the probe into the murder of RSS cadre Manoj to the CBI. Vijayan also added that the state Home Minister, Ramesh Chennithala has done this in his eagerness to appease the RSS.

The UDF government’s decision to ask the CBI to probe the murder comes in the wake of the two day visit to the state by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh.

Rajnath Singh however found himself drawn into a controversy after he was felicitated by a person accused in the murder of CPI (M) worker V V  Vishnukumar. The Home Minister while visiting the famous Shri Padmanabhaswami temple in Thiruvananthapuram was adorned with a headgear by a RSS worker Santhosh, who is the first accused in the murder of Vishnukumar.

On September 27, after visiting Manoj’s relatives in Kadiroor, Rajnath Singh announced that the he will recommend this case to be handed over to Central Bureau of Investigation.  A day after alleging that the CPI(M) was involved in the murder of Manoj, the Home Minister reached Thiruvananthapuram and visited the Temple. Santhosh, a habitual criminal, came with his retinue and hugged Rajanath Singh and placed an ornamental headgear on Central Minister’s head.

Santhosh is accused of leading a RSS criminal gang in the killing of CPI(M) worker Vishnukumar on April 1 2008. He was identified by the witnesses in the identification parade held inside the jail.
