The Polit Buearu of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement:
The Polit Buearu of CPI(M) strongly condemns the attack of the Shiv Sena activists on the Pakistan Tourism's Lahore - Dehi bus near Phagwara in Punjab on Saturday. This seems to be part of a conspiracy of a section in the union government to disrupt all means of people to people contact between India and Pakistan. There are talks about cancellation of Delhi- Lahore bus service and the Samjhauta Express train service. All means of people to people contacts between India and Pakistan should be continued and strengthened. The government should take stern action against the attackers and take all steps to ensure such incidents are not repeated.
