The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement:
Victory In Andhra Pradesh
The Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) congratulates the people of Andhra Pradesh for decisively rejecting the TDP-BJP alliance in the assembly elections. The big victory registered by the opposition is a decisive rejection of the TDP government’s policies which were shaped by the World Bank.
This victory of the secular and Left opposition will be a precursor to the defeat of the BJP and its allies in the Lok Sabha elections.
