CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury will be travelling to United Kingdom in connection with some programmes that he would be attending there. He would be in the UK from May 2 to 6, 2018. The programmes he would be attending are listed here below:
On May 3 he would be delivering a lecture on “The Relevance of Left Alternative in Post-Trump World” at the Queens University, Belfast. The programme is being organized jointly by the Queens University Students Union, Association of Indian Communists (GB) and the Sameeksha (a Progressive Cultural Forum).
On May 4, he would be the Chief Guest at the May Day Commemoration being organized by Kranthi, a cultural and political organization, at Dublin.
On May 5, he would be attending an international conference celebrating Marx’s works and exploring the significance of Marxism in the world today organized by the Marx Memorial Library coinciding with the celebrations the 200th anniversary of Marx’s birth. This would be at the University of London.
