The 22nd Congress of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) welcomes the coming together of various mass organizations, Left, democratic, secular organisations, other progressive groups, and individuals under the banner of the Jan Ekta Jan Adhikar Andolan (JEJAA) to fight against communal authoritarian rule and the neoliberal policies of the RSS-led BJP government.
The National Convention of more than 100 such organizations held in New Delhi on September 18, 2017 has resolved to form JEJAA at the all-India level and to build a network in all States, districts, blocks and villages and towns in the days to come.
JEJAA has decided to launch countrywide struggles on issues that concern different sections of the people. On the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the NDA government, JEJAA has announced nationwide protest actions. On May 23, 2018, JEJAA plansdemonstrations in all State capitals and in Delhi that will raise the slogan “Modi Sarkarki char saal, pol khol, hallabol” (Four years of Modi Government, Expose and Protest). During the week prior to May 23, a mass campaign – which will include the distribution of leaflets, cycle/motorcycle/vehicle rallies, processions and public meetings – has been planned.
The 22nd Congress of the CPI(M) extends support and solidarity to JEJAA. It calls upon people all over the country to help build the JEJAA network in urban and rural areas all over the country.It calls for full support and participation by the people to the “Pol Khol Halla Bol” movement, and to make it a big success.
