Press Release

Harkishan Singh Surjeet, General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement:

The Canadian police have arrested two culprits Ripudaman Singh Malik and Ajaib Singh Bagri. responsible for the Kanishka bombing in 1985. More arrests are expected.

It may be recalled that during the eighties, Canada and the USA were centres from where Babar Khalsa and other terrorist outfits operated and received support. Their activities led to disturbing peace in Punjab and played havoc with the lives of the common people. The Indian government failed in putting pressure on the US and Canadian governments to curb their activities.
It has been reported that even now the arrested persons were playing host to many Indian politicians to cover up their activities. The Government of India with the help of the Canadian government must investigate into these allegations immediately so that those who are providing cover to criminals are exposed.
