Three CPI(M) and Gana Mukti Parishad leaders in Tripura killed by NLFT

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement:

The Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) expresses its deep shock and strong condemnation of the brutal killing of three CPI(M) and Gana Mukti Parishad leaders in Longthorai valley sub-division in Dhalai district of Tripura. The NLFT has brutally killed three members of the CPI(M) divisional committee -- Aswini Debbarma, Bidyajoy Reang and Kalendra Chakma. These tribal comrades were playing a leading role in countering the terror tactics of the NLFT and the IPFT and rallying the tribal people for maintaining peace and fighting for their genuine demands.

The Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) records its deep appreciation of these comrades' devotion to the cause of the Party which has made them martyrs. The Polit Bureau conveys its heartfelt condolences to the family members of the three martyrs.
