Punjab: March to Assembly

 

Four Left Parties of Punjab – CPI, CPI(M), CPM Punjab & CPI(ML) Liberation will hold  a massive march to assembly during the budget  session on 28th March, 2016 to  focus  the realization of 15 points agenda  programme for democratic development of Punjab. It was decided in a meeting of the State Coordination Committee of the Four Left Parties held here today at Chandigarh on January 11.

Expressing grave concern  over growing incidents of suicides by peasants and  agricultural labourers, drug menace afflicting the majority of unemployed youth, stoppage of developmental works because of serious financial crisis and bankruptcy of the state , , unchecked mafia rule  with impunity  in areas like cable, sand, drugs etc. ,  atrocities on dalits and women and  deteriorating law order,  the meeting decided  to intensify its on going struggle.

The meeting decided to hold massive rally at Khatkar Kalan on 23rd March, 2016  on martyrdom day of Shaheede – E- Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh . A youth rally will also be held at Hussainiwala on the same day to focus on the issues of unemployment and drug menace in Punjab. The meeting further decided to hold political conferences for rousing the public opinion in support of the 15 points agenda programme for democratic development of Punjab.

Through another resolution the meeting strongly condemned the Akali-BJP government for setting up   caste based youth clubs at village level all over the state which is divisive and harms the unity of the people.
