A Meeting of the left parties was held today at CPI(M) office, attended by
G.K.Baksi (State Secretary) and Rajendra Singh Munda (Secretariat Member)
of CPI(M), Janardan Prasad (State Secretary) of CPI(ML), Bhuneswar Mehta
(Central Council Member) of CPI & S.Mukherjee of Marxist Co-ordination
Committee.

State Secretary of RSP could not attend the meeting due to illness and
SUCI(C) State Secretary was unable to attend the meeting due to their state
committee meeting but has given his consent to the decisions taken at the
meeting.

The meeting expressed grave concern over the precarious situation at the
state due to anti-people policies of the government, increasing incidences
of communal violence, forcible acquisition of land, amendments to CNT-SPT
Acts, severely deteriorating law and order situation and other burning
issues of the people.

It has been decided to organize a State Level Convention on 30th July at
Ranchi. Different social organizations and mass organizations will be
invited. The issues of food security & employment are also to be discussed
in the convention.
