The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement:

Condemn Murderous Attack on CPI(M) Bihar MLA Ajay Kumar

The Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) condemns the murderous attack on Ajay Kumar, leader of the CPI(M) legislature party and Member of its Bihar Secretariat, at Samastipur. This is the second such attack on him in the past few weeks.

Hailing Bihar Electorate

The Left Parties congratulate the electorate of Bihar for their support to the Mahagathbandhan, including the candidates of the Left parties, which contributed to the Mahagathbandhan putting up a spirited contest in the election against the ruling BJP-JD(U) and its government.

Vijaykant Thakur Dies

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) expresses is profound grief at the death of a former member of the Central Committee of the CPI(M) and a veteran of the communist movement in Bihar, Comrade Vijaykant Thakur, who died this morning. He was 86 years old.

The Central Committee discussed the draft Political-Organisational Report presented by the Polit Bureau. This will now be presented to the 22nd Congress to be held at Hyderabad from April 18 to 22, 2018.

The Central Committee finalized the Draft Report on Organisation to be sent to all State Committees. The Central Committee will meet on December 26 and finalise the report to be presented to the Plenum beginning December 27, 2015 at Kolkata. Massive preparations through state wide jathas and mass contact programmes are underway in West Bengal to make this plenum a big success. 

On Bihar Election Results

The CPI(M) congratulates the people of Bihar who have given a resounding defeat to the BJP alliance in the assembly elections. They have rejected the rank communal campaign conducted by the BJP, led by the Narendra Modi-Amit Shah duo with divisive issues like cow and beef and the bogey of reservations for minorities.

The Polit Bureau discussed the draft report to be presented to the Party Plenum on Organization.  This draft will now be subjected for discussion in the Party Central Committee meeting scheduled to meet in Delhi from November 13 to 16.  The Plenum will be held in Kolkata from December 27 to 31, 2015.
