The Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) met online, for the first time, on July 25-26, 2020. It has issued the following statement:

The central government must immediately invoke the provisions of the Disaster Management Act and take action against people, including political leaders and others holding high offices, who disrupt the united fight of all Indians against the pandemic by spreading venomous communal hatred. The BJP central government must ensure that the fundamental right to life and liberty of all Indians irrespective of their religion, caste, gender or disability cannot and must not be allowed to be violated.

The global capitalist economy continues to be sluggish. There are no signs of any meaningful recovery since the global financial meltdown and the consequent economic crisis that began in 2008.

Such incidents are planned in view of the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. The communally provocative speeches being made by Chief Minister Adityanath have also created an atmosphere for the mobs to act with impunity.
The Central Committee discussed the draft Political-Organisational Report presented by the Polit Bureau. This will now be presented to the 22nd Congress to be held at Hyderabad from April 18 to 22, 2018.
The Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) calls upon both the Central and state governments to strengthen the law and order apparatus to ensure that communal peace is not disturbed and individual right to life and liberty is not violated. The Polit Bureau calls upon all secular and peace-loving forces to expose the sinister designs of communal mobilisatiion by the RSS/BJP.
The Polit Bureau discussed the Draft Political Report for the 22nd Congress. These discussions will now be placed for the Central Committee’s consideration at its forthcoming meeting from January 19 to 21, 2018 at Kolkata.
On June 29th, the papers carried your statement, as Chief Minister of Haryana, condemning the murder. You also declared a compensation of Rs. Ten lakhs. Unfortunately no compensation whatsoever has been received by the family from the Government.
