As the Central Government is criminally overlooking the misery of the of the common people, the Left parties have decided to launch a week long All India mass mobilization programme from November 24 to 30.
The Malekudiyas,a tribal community inhabiting the Western Ghats in Karnataka, were never so angry. Not when they were prevented from collecting forest produce, not when they lost land in the name of a national park, not even when police branded them as Naxalites and shot their youth.
Thousands of people in Kerala enthusiastically took part in the massive nationwide protest called by Left Parties against the mounting corruption of BJP’s central and state leaders.
Thousands of Left Parties workers and supporters organized protest dharnas and demonstrations at all the district headquarters in Punjab demanding dismissal of the Ministers & Chief Ministers of BJP involved in scams like Vyapam and IPL.
The Four Left Parties- CPI, CPI(M), CPM Punjab & CPI(ML) Liberation held protest demonstrations and burnt effigies of Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister Punjab and M. D. of Orbit Bus Service against the Moga incident all over Punjab. . A mother and daughter were molested in the Orbit Bus and thrown out of the moving bus by their molesters. The daughter died on the spot and the mother is admitted in a hospital in serious condition.
The Left parties are already conducting protests against this price hike. In order to build up a sustained movement to demand a rollback of the price hike, the Left parties have decided to observe an All India Protest Day on May 31, 2012. On this day countrywide protest actions will be held including hartals, demonstrations, picketing, rasta rokos and rallies.
Along with the Lokpal law, there are certain immediate measures to be taken to curb corruption. They include a new Judicial Accountability law which will also constitute a National Judicial Commission; electoral law reforms to curb money power and criminality in politics; firm steps to unearth black money and bring back the illegal money stashed abroad.
