The CPI(M) and CPI jointly organized protest demonstrations all over Punjab against rigging and booth capturing during last three phases of the Lok Sabha elections in West Bengal.
The joint protest demonstration held in Chandigarh was led by CPI(M) State Secretary Charan Singh Virdi, Bhupinder Samber, National Council Member, CPI. Many other leaders and workers of both the workers participated. Hundreds of CPI(M) and CPI workers took out a protest march through the main bazaars of Ropar city. CPI(M) State Secretariat member Raghunath Singh addressed the gathering. A massive demonstration was held at Taran Taran. Devinder Jit Singh Dhillon, District Secretary, CPI(M) and Tara Singh Khaira, District Secretary, CPI addressed the protesters. A big demonstration was organized in Hoshiarpur where Gurmesh Singh, State Secretariat member, CPI(M) addressed the protesters. Protests were also organized in Ghanaur and other places in Punjab.
