CPI(M) Karnataka state conference began in Gangavathi, Koppal district. The conference was held at Com.K.Varadarajan – Com.Balappa Nagar. Senior Comrade V J K Nair hoisted the Red flag to begin the conference. About 500 people attended inaugural function including 300 delegates and observers, due to Covid restrictions. PB members Com M A Baby, Com BV Raghavulu and Prakash Karat also attended inaugural function.
“The three pillars of Modi’s New India are hindutva, corporates, and imperialism,” said Com. Prakash Karat in his inaugural address at the Karnataka State Conference of Communist Party of India (Marxist). His address presented an overview of the current political situation.
CPIM Karnataka 23rd State Conference concluded in Gangavathi, Koppla District on Jan 5 with a call by PB member Com B V Raghavulu calling for resisting and confronting BJP in Karnataka to stop its expansion in the South.
Conference elected a 34 member State Committee leaving one seat reserved for Chikkaballapura. Newly elected State Committee met and re-elected Com U Basavaraj as State Secretary and a 12 member State Secretariat
