Subject: Inflammatory speeches made by Amit Shah in Shamli on 3rd April, 2014 campaigning for BJP
Dear Sir,
The CPI(M) would like to bring to your notice the hate speeches being made by Amit Shah, a close aide of BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate and the BJP poll manager in UP. To substantiate this, we are enclosing here the following:
-
The original footage (in the pen drive being submitted) in two places – Jat Sabha in Shamali town, Raja Rani Banquet Hall, 3rd April, and Raajhara village, Shamli district, 3rd April.
-
The pen drive also contains extracts of the above meetings in clips with the inflammatory sections.
-
Annexure I with transcripts of the above clips
This is not only a violation the Model Code of Conduct but is also a criminal act – spreading hatred between communities.
We demand the following:
-
Amit Shah should be barred from addressing any meetings
-
Immediate FIR to be lodged by the Elections Commission against Amit Shah and others who are identified in the footage and making hate speeches.
Thanking you,
Yours truly
(Jogendra Sharma)
Member, Central Secretariat
Annexure-I
Meeting of Jat Sabha in Shamli town, Raja Rani Banquet Hall, 3rd April.
Amit Shah,
“The elections in Uttar Pradesh, especially in western Uttar Pradesh, is an election for honour, for seeking revenge for the insult, and for teaching a lesson to those who committed injustice.”
Amit Shah,
He also justified the Muzaffarnagar riots claiming it was for “security” and “honour of women”.
“This not just another election. This is the time to avenge the insult meted out to our community. This election will be a reply to those who have been ill treating our mothers and sisters.”
Amit Shah,
“With one vote, you can defeat both UPA and Mulyam and bring his government down. Why vote twice”
Amit Shah,
…..
“People who were beggars, have become arabpatis running “butcherkhanas”. BJP is going to stop this. Please understand what it means”
Raajhara village, Shaymli district, 3rd April
Amit Shah,
“A man can live without food or sleep. He can live when he’s thirsty and hungry. But when he’s insulted, he can’t live. We must seek revenge for the insult heaped on us.”
