The Trinamul Congress and BJP are made for each other, they are inter-dependent on each for their own existence and political gains, CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury said while addressing a meeting of CPI(M) workers at Bolpur on July 19, 2015.
Sitaram Yechury said, “Sweet relations between TMC, the ruling party of West Bengal and BJP, the ruling party at Centre, are now growing.” The TMC-BJP honeymoon started after the meeting between ‘Didi’ and ‘Modi’ at Najrul Mancha in Kolkata. Sitaram said that BJP needs TMC’s help for passing anti-people Bills in Parliament; on the other hand the TMC needs the patronage of the BJP for escaping from the CBI investigations into the Sarada Chit Fund Scam and other scams. They are organizing ‘Mock-Fighting’ and attempting to fool the people. But, Yechury said that people are not so foolish so as to not understand these match-fixing games.
Few days back BJP National President Amit Shah had said in a public meeting in Kolkata that they are targeting the 2019 Parliamentary Election and not the 2016 Assembly Election. Yechury said that this a clear mandate to the BJP followers, what they have to do. At the same time Shah had also sent out a message to their friends, the TMC, that they are always at their service; ‘Ek Duje Ke Liye’ – made for each other.
